if all the stars were books, the galaxy would still be smaller than my TBR list
Time for another review from this year's pile of SPFBO books! ^_^ Nothing is trickier than the truth. All Loki the trickster god of Asgard wants is a quiet, peaceful life where he’s free to needle Balder, occasionally stir up the inter-realm porridge pot, and get Thor to dress in women’s garments (for all the... Today it's time for a SPFBO review! Rebel.Outlaw.Hero.Exiled for an unjust crime and forced to use whatever means necessary to survive, a figure of hope emerges from Sherwood Forest. But what most people know about Robin Hood (the enemy of Prince John and nobleman loyal to King Richard) was an invention of a playwright nearly three... I was recommended this book months and months ago by a few people that read it, so when I had a chance I snagged a copy for review. What a good idea it was! ^_^ Thanks to the author, as well as Tor via NetGalley for the review copy! “I refuse to be nothing…” In... Continue Reading →
Hello and welcome to my first review for this year's Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off! Today I'm reviewing The Wayward Wizard by Alesha Escobar which is the first book I finished from my pile. Having quite liked Ash Kickers, I started this one hoping for more of the same. This is in fact the installment that I was offered to review that had me reading the rest of the series before it in the first place. Thanks to the author as well as Angry Robot for the review copy!... Continue Reading →
This was one that I had originally planned to read sometime later this year, but a good friend of mine convinced me that I really, really needed to request a NetGalley, and that I would thank her later. So, thanks to the author, as well as Del Rey via NetGalley for the review copy. And... Continue Reading →
As soon as I saw the beautiful cover for this one, I knew that I wanted it. Having read and loved Tasha Suri's other work only cemented that, so when I was sent an ARC of it, I dove right in as soon as I could!! Thanks to the author, as well as Orbit for... Continue Reading →
This was a really interesting idea, and when the author reached out to me to see what I thought of it, I happily had a gander. This is an interactive story, similar to a Choose Your Own Adventure story! It takes place slightly before the events of Defence of Ráth Bládhma, and so you can... Continue Reading →
